Some of the leading drivers in the Australian Rally Championship are fuming over the new control tyre rules, which came into play at the first round of the series in Tasmania this weekend.
Early on day two, the tyre issue has raised its head, with drivers being on different compounds, and some crews seemingly gaining an advantage because of it.

The 30th anniversary Rally Tasmania has attracted a top quality field of over 50 entrants, with Australia’s biggest rally stars ready to tackle the tarmac roads around Burnie.
Starting tomorrow, Rally Tasmania includes some of tarmac rallying’s most popular stages, including Hellyer Gorge, Savage River and the exciting Burnie street stage.
The event includes sections for Modern and Classic cars, and is also the first round of the Australian Rally Championship.

Targa High Country establishes 'Targa Triple Crown' |

A new event based in Victoria's north east, Targa High Country, will join established events, Targa Tasmania and Targa Wrest Point, in making up the prestigious Targa Triple Crown.
To be based in the Mansfield and Mt Buller area, the inaugural event will be held from November 5 to 7 later this year.
